Dr. Alexander Jüngling LL.M. (Chicago)

Alexander Jüngling is an attorney admitted to the Berlin bar and advises companies on issues around corporate governance, ethical management and compliance, as well as board and director liability. His legal advice focuses on the areas of anti-corruption, compliance in the healthcare sector, data protection, antitrust law, money laundering and export controls. In addition, he is an expert for sustainability and on the legal and ethical aspects of artificial intelligence.

Through his many years of experience as a consultant with McKinsey & Co, Inc. and as attorney with WilmerHale LLP, and as Chief Compliance Officer and Data Privacy Officer in two international groups, Alexander has especially wide-ranging experience in advising executive boards and in the design and implementation of internal risk analyses, guidelines and policies, organisations and processes.

He also has comprehensive knowledge and skills around internal and external national and international investigations of all sizes and involving an enormous range of issues, as well as around representing companies before authorities (including with regard to US monitorships). Alexander is active in a number of chief compliance officer forums, was for many years deputy head of the compliance group within the German Association of In-house Lawyers (BUJ), and is a founding member of the German Institute for Compliance (DICO). He is a lecturer at the Free University of Berlin, a sought-after speaker and publishes on various compliance topics.

Alexander Jüngling is certified to the highest level Ü3 of the German Security Inspection Act (SÜG). This authorises him to obtain access to classified information at TOP SECRET level.

Alexander Jüngling is a Sustainability Professional certified by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and speaks German, English, and French. He is a father of three sons and enjoys playing percussion on every rare opportunity.
